Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)

This program provides payment assistance for utility bills up to one time per calendar year for qualified applicants. Get information about HEAP by contacting one of the following providers for assistance with HEAP applications:

North Coast Energy Services, Inc.
Call the North Coast Energy Services HEAP line at 1-800-233-4480 to get information about how to apply for this program, or visit the North Coast Energy Services "Applying for Help" website to download information, instructions and application forms.

Safe Passage Family Resource Center

Redwood Coast Senior Center
The Senior Center, located at 490 North Harold Street, Fort Bragg, offers forms and assistance in completing applications for the HEAP program for senior citizens. Phone (707) 964-0443.


Energy Assistance Providers

Renewable Energy Development Institute, Inc. (REDI)

Mendocino County Energy Watch
Energy Watch is a joint project of the Community Development Commission of Mendocino County and Pacific Gas & Electric Company. Energy Watch provides programs and trainings to save on home energy bills. Energy Watch is located at 1076 North State Street, Ukiah CA 95482, at the Community Development Commission offices. HELP H2O
It's funded by a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) awarded to the City of Fort Bragg. The City’s Program Operator for HELP H2O is REDI (Renewable Energy Development Institute). The goal of HELP H2O is to assist income qualified city residents with a water bill while also helping keep water bills as low as possible through water education and conservation assistance.
